Mitch Menik TAI CHI KI GONG

Mitch Menik, began his Tai Chi practice in 1978 and is a Certified Holistic Fitness Instructor of Tai Chi, Yoga and Meditation. During 2001, Mitch evolved to incorporate the studyof Dahn Yoga and Tai Chi into his daily practice and training (www.dahnyoga.com). Ki Gong, the healing essence of Tai Chi, serves to help us stop our thinking or mind chatter so we are able to connect with our true self, find balance, peace, harmony, allowing the body to restore itself back to its state of perfect health.

Ki Gong is a form of Tai Chi that helps you balance your internal energies. Ki Gong is a slow moving meditation exercise enabling you to become aware of your breath, body and spirit. (Ki) refers to life’s vital energy while (Gong) refers to practice or exercise. Because Ki Gong gently moves all your major joints, it is an excellent daily exercise for all ages, especially those over 60 or with disabilities. Another important benefit is oxygen, a natural antibiotic, which comes from the intentional deep diaphragmatic breathing used in Ki Gong. Deep breathing cleanses and purifies the body supplying it with more oxygen, assisting in cell rejuvenation; it also slows the heart rate down and lowers blood pressure.
