Up, Up and Away… Hot Air Balloon Adventure with Vegas Balloon Rides

Monday, May 20, Departs SCAL at around 5:30 a.m.

Your Hot Air Balloon Adventure starts with a rise and shine pick-up at 5:45 a.m. After a short drive you will arrive at the launch site where the adventure really begins!

At the launch site, your flight crew will brief you on your balloon adventure. Then, you will watch with awe as your balloon takes shape before your eyes, ultimately standing more than 10 stories tall. Once fully inflated and ready for take off, you’ll climb into the gondola and begin the adventure of a lifetime.

After drifting serenely for approximately an hour we prepare for landing. Once on the ground, we’ll share in the oldest of ballooning traditions, a champagne toast and revel inthe peace, tranquility and beauty that you never before knew existed.

For ballooning we require light winds, good visibility and no precipitation. You’ll fly at approximately1,000 feet above built up areas, but will come down to touch the tree tops orskim across the corn fields if we are out in the countryside.

The flights areapproximately one hour in length; however, we do require about four hours for theentire adventure. As we fly with the prevailing winds, our flight patterns and landing sites vary due to the changing wind directions. There is no wind chill and very little feeling of movement or sensation of height.

Due to insurance restrictions we cannot accept passengers under the age of 10, women

who are/or may be pregnant,or those with heart, back or knee problems. All passengers must be in good physical condition due to the possibility of a rough landing and able to climb in and out of the basket, stand for the entire flight and walk out of afield if necessary.

We suggest you wear layers of comfortable, casual clothing and sensible footwear, not open-toed shoes, heals or sandals. It is recommended that you wear a hat, as residual heat from the burners can make those sensitive to heat uncomfortable. A signed “Waiver ofLiability” must be provided to the pilot.

The cost of the Hot Air Balloon Adventure is $175 per person. That's $100 below the regular price.  The determination to fly is based on weather and wind conditions. We will call you the night before to confirm May 20 is a go and the time. If the flight has to be cancelled due to weather, we will schedule another date. Please sign up at the monitor’s desk by May 15.
